Let the fun be-gin : The Best Gin Joints

Of all the gin joints in all the world, we’ve been lucky enough to be blessed with the best of the best.

Whether you just like sippin’ on gin and juice Snoop Dogg style or consider yourself an aficionado, there’s a cocktail or G&T with your name on it.

Covent Garden | West End

Inspired by the famous London district, West End’s Covent Garden is a gin garden oasis. With a focus on Australian craft gins (there are over 100 above the bar), the talented bar staff are famous for creating the perfect G&T. The venue might be new, but it’s certainly making a splash on Boundary Street with its signature cocktails and share plates. From cheeky after work tipples to Gin High Tea – take it sloe and savour every sip.

Dutch Courage Officer’s Mess | Fortitude Valley

Hold onto your pith helmet and get ready to step back in time at Dutch Courage. Decorated with vintage campaign furniture and safari The OG Valley gin bar boasts over 150 gins from distillers in Australia, the US and Europe. Whether you’re seeking a classic dirty martini (hey bad girl) or looking for something especially to your taste, the bartenders have got your (bar) back baby!

Proud Henry Gin Enoteca | Fortitude Valley

Everyone loves a makeover, and sleepy wine bar Grape Therapy has grown a new plumage, spread its wings and become Proud Henry. Named after the glorious taxidermy peacock that overlooks the valley gin emporium. With almost 100 local and international gins behind the bar, cheese and charcuterie boards and live music on Fridays, it’s no wonder Henry is so proud.

BOSC | West End

With a list of ever changing, mostly Australian, gin varieties BOSC is as well known for its alcoholic spirts as it is for its interest in the human spirit. The ‘Bar of Social Conscience’ was founded as a bar where patrons could help make a difference (20% of annual proceeds go to local charities) – and enjoy a decent cocktail. The star of the show is the selection of seasonal gin cocktails including Sloe Gin Fizz with fresh lemon and Negronis.

Old Tom Restaurant & Bar | Broadbeach

The latest addition to the GC’s booming bar scene, Old Tom is bringing in waves of fans to its Broadbeach location. Fronted by one of the top 100 bartenders in Australia, Tom Angel, Old Tom’s is famous for its infamous ‘Black’ Collins, a twist on the classic Tom Collins and Tanqueray 10 martini. With its public house-style façade, elegant dining room and library (!!!), enjoy bar snacks and small plates in style.

A gin revolution? This is just the be-gin-ing.
