Kedron's newest brunch spot has just landed!

Old MacDonald had some brunch, eee-eye eee-eye ohh……. You’d be clucking mad to miss breakfast at Kedron’s newest neighbour Farm House, where locally sourced produce is served with country hospitality and big city flavour. While Melbourne may be famous for its lush laneway culture and Sydney for its #cleaneating straight out of Bondi, Brisbane can certainly hang its akubra on its showcasing of quality Queensland farming from paddock to plate. Farm House offers an all day breakfast and lunch menu, which means you won’t have to be awake before the roosters to enjoy the best on offer, and there’s plenty that gluten-averse and vegetarians can enjoy as well. The usual family favourites make the list including zucchini and corn fritters with salmon, shakshuka eggs and avocado toast (with Yarra Valley fetta, dill oil and pico de gallo no less). For the more adventurous however, the gnocchi with arrabiatta sauce and poached egg will be very hard to say gno to! Fancy a hash brown Benedict style? Try the crispy potato cake with smokehouse bacon, eggs, wilted greens and hollandaise. Then there’s the one pan ricotta hotcake with lemon curd, ginger orange syrup, berries and ice cream, which will be a soul-warming hit for the big kids amongst us (I.e. everyone in the office). If you’re after something light and nourishing, it’s hard to go past the pumpkin spiced chia pudding or the crowd favourite breakfast bowl with haloumi, avo, raw beetroot salad and labneh (because why have one delicious cheese when you can have two!). Lunch sees the addition of the Asian style chicken salad, steak sandwich, fish tacos and ricotta tart to the already abundant breakfast menu. And you can feel good knowing you’re supporting our Aussie farmers, with milk from Australian Dairy Co-op, mushrooms from mount cotton, eggs from the scenic rim and fresh herbs grown on site. Even the serving boards and stools are sourced from Cedar Creek Wood. Don’t horse around or play sheepish, make your moo-ve to Farm House for your next breakfast adventure, where you don’t have to leave the big smoke to enjoy a taste of the countryside!
