Brisbane is upping the ante with a bar addition that has us shaking in anticipation.

The end of Brisbane’s (short-lived) winter hibernation calls for celebration and the perfect way to welcome the season is with a trendy new bar that’s set to heat up the Brisbane scene faster than the end of the ice age.

Enter Ivory Tusk, bringing the Valley it’s very first Tropicali-inspired Palm Springs party, with colour pops aplenty, scrumptious fare, tasty cocktails and funky tunes in a one-stop party hot spot, opening August 22.

With every great new venue must, of course, come a great menu and Ivory Tusk is ready to set tongues a-wagging. Executive and head chef team Jack Thompson of South Australia’s hatted restaurant The Line & Label (no biggie), and Graeme McKinnon (formally of Covent Garden) will be teaming up to bring punters some of the best eats you’ve seen on a night out with locally sourced and seasonal ingredients ready to pack a punch. The menu takes on a fun, Mexican vibe so think gazpacho tequila shooters, lamb barbacoa and drool-worthy roast pork, with options for our vegan and gluten-free friends as well.

Ivory Tusk totally understands that one of the most frustrating things about a night out is long lines at the bar, which is why they’ve come up with an amazing solution: three bars serving eight on-tap cocktails. Rest assured that these delicious tipples will feature only premium Diageo spirits and be complete with fresh ingredients and botanicals to keep them tasting bartender perfect.

If it’s an events venue you’re after, never fear, Ivory Tusk is here. From a cosy and casual 20-person soiree up to a 1,000-person par-tay, they’ve got you covered with eats, drinks and entertainment which can be tailored to your own event vibe. And as if this couldn’t get better, you can even find Brisbane’s first Rockaoke here. Oh, yeah, its karaoke without the jukebox and, instead, a live band. Um, yes please!

The Ivory Tusk party is pumping from Wednesday to Sunday and shares an address with the Woolly Mammoth, the Valley icon which has also undergone a bit of a tropical facelift. Ivory Tusk is nestled in the middle floor, with the top level still providing musical goodness and the first level’s Garden Terrace now all about a tequila fiesta. Ariba!
