In-home experiences with City Winery

Ready to come out of iso knowing all there is to know about wine?

No strangers to all things food and booze (duh), the team at City Winery is offering four unique and immersive in-home wine experiences for vino lovers of all calibres!

Adapting to the isolated world we’re temporarily living in, City Winery has shifted its signature experiences into in-home experiences, so we can continue to learn and taste from the comfort of our couches! Most workshops include a Skype or Zoom session with a winemaker or sommelier, along with follow-up video content along the way. All sessions are available in English and Mandarin.

The In-Home Food and Wine Pairing Experience will teach you all you need to know about how food and wine pairings work, while you sit in your home and indulge! Set over three courses (with three bottles of wine… yas!), this is an interactive experience that includes virtual contact with a winemaker, and videos at each course explaining which foods and wine marry.

This one is available Tuesday to Saturday in the Brisbane region for a minimum of two diners, with food and wine to be picked up at a nominated time and date.

The Wine and Cheese Tasting and the Self-Guided Wine Tasting both revolve around top-quality drops, with expert explanations and guidance over Skype or Zoom.

For those who are taking this time to learn a new craft, the In-Home Blending Workshop is City Winery’s most popular experience—and for a good reason. The workshop is run over Skype or Zoom and will teach participants all about the various elements that go into the blending of the perfect drop—and you’ll even be able to blend your very own bottle.

Sessions are available Tuesday to Saturday, between 11.30 am and 5 pm, with a minimum of two participants.

We’re big fans of what City Winery is serving up, and we just can’t wait to become expert (virtual) winemakers too…
