 Halloween in Brisbane

The only time of the year you want someone to scream when they see you.

Who doesn’t love to dress up and sip a few themed cocktails? Silly question, we know. If your biggest fear this Halloween is FOMO over which festive scarefest to attend, we’ve rounded up the best events to hit so you don’t miss a scream.

Beerhaüs | Bowen Hills

Beerhaüs is turning the scary up a notch this year and transforming into a haunted house on Thursday, 31 October. Kick off the scariest weekend of the year with apple bobbing, lucky door prizes, plenty of rum punch and, of course, a best dressed competition which will see the best character win a 1-litre bottle of Kraken rum – now that’s a scary thought!

Halloween Party | El Camino Cantina | Bowen Hills

El Camino Cantina is bringing double the spooky with two parties over one huge weekend – ay caramba! Kick the weekend off on Thursday 31 October with their Halloween party where you can gorge on a ghoulishly  good fiesta feast with a selection of wings, fajitas, nachos, churros and two-hours of margaritas, wine, beer or soft drinks for only $79pp (with bonus lolly bag if you book online). To keep the party hopping you can slurp on El Camino’s margarita of the month at a special price, practice your backhand and have a smash at the giant Halloween piñata, play lucky dip but with shot glasses and make sure you dress to scare with the best costume winning a $50 restaurant voucher.

Day of the Dead | El Camino Cantina | Bowen Hills

The party continues on 2 November with the official Day of the Dead celebration! Pay homage to the spirits with their fiesta feast still available, visit the face painter to transform into the traditional sugar skull, enjoy an XO Patrón Café shot and why not enter the chilli eating competition? Be one of the first to eat five chillies and you’ll win a $50 bar voucher! Now that’s a way to scare the spirits.

Brisbane Fright Market | Brisbane Night Market | Rocklea

Where can you find a trick or treating trail, a haunted house, cocktails, tasty fare and live music? Brisbane Fright Market of course! Dress up the family and fly down to Rocklea on your broomstick for a night of terror for the whole fam on 25 October. The scares kick off at 4pm and entry is just $2.50.
