Something old, something new, something borrowed and something…Bowie? Totally revamped, Salon de Co is a...
Four producer pop-ups are making July Even Better Food Month at this Spring Hill fave.
As part of Good Food Month’s program of affiliated events with Brisbane’s leading restaurants, Friends of Good Food Month, Salon de Co is hosting a series of exclusive dinners bringing premium Australian small-producer food and wine to the heart of Brisbane.
In celebration of Good Food Month in Brisbane all July long, Salon De Co’s head chef Andy Ashby is collaborating with four primary producers to explore and promote their goods in the best way possible – four multiple-course dinners!
From sustainable aquaculture to unique varietals of wine, the Good Food Month collaboration dinners at Salon de Co are set to be delicious, educational, experiences – and you can read all about them below.
9 Dorf Farms is the name, sustainability (and tastiness) is the game. Join the fourth generation Lockyer Valley producers of everything from pasture-raised chicken and eggs to native fish and grass-fed beef at Salon de Co for a five-course meal promoting their stunning produce.
As well as sustainable cocktails (does that mean we can drink more?), the 9Dorf Farms menu created by Chef Andy will feature all organic ingredients, with matched biodynamic wines also available, and follow a virtual tour of the 9 Dorf farm as well as an insightful talk with members of the Neuendorf family and Chef Andy.
The five-course dinner and 9 Dorf Farms experience at Salon de Co is only $75, with matched biodynamic wines available for an additional $35 – tickets are available here.
Come 6:30pm on Tuesday, July 11, it’s wine time at Salon de Co! Celebrate the good stuff with the award-winning Alpha Box & Dice winery over five courses heroing fresh, local ingredients.
Before dinner, hear the team from Alpha Box & Dice explain their aim to alphabetise their world of South Australian wine, and the unique varietals that they champion.
At just $85 for five courses with matched wines, the Alpha Box & Dice dinner at Salon de Co is one of the best-value Good Food Month experiences on offer – grab your tickets here.
As an ambassador for Murray Gold (who supply fish to some of the best restaurants in Australia) Chef Andy knows his way around a cod! Join Murray Gold CEO John Fisher (yes, his real name) and the team from Black Market Sake for this unique three-course dinner.
From 5pm, John will take guests through the optimal cooking techniques, health benefits, and importance of cod in indigenous cultures, before moving on to a three-course dinner at 6:30 with paired premium Japanese sakés by Black Market!
Tickets for this coveted event are $89, and available here.
‘Tis the season! Let Chef Andy guide you through a five-course meal highlighting the best of New South Wales-grown truffles from the award winning Terra Preta farm.
The entirely organic truffles by Terra Preta won ‘Best Truffles” at the Australian Food Awards two years running, and Chef Andy has decided to jazz up the entire evening by presenting entirely black or white dishes to reflect the purity of the truffles on offer!
At just $85 for the five-course menu with matched wines available for an additional $25, the Terra Preta Truffle Diner at Salon de Co is one of the most affordable ways to enjoy premium in-season truffles – grab your tickets here.
The food’s good every month at Salon de Co – but it’s better during Good Food Month.
Keeping the G&G up to date with all the latest tasty tidbits requires a lot of double lattes and espresso martinis, so we occasionally need to give out some sponsored love. But rest assured that we only work with businesses that we think are really nifty, as the sponsor for this post is!
