Goldfinch spreads its wings

Breathing fresh air into Brisbane’s CBD dining scene, Goldfinch has officially landed!

In the space occupied by the iconic Goldfish Bar in the ‘70s, Goldfinch is offering up everything from early morning coffee, corporate power lunches, long dinners, and bar bites to colourful specialty cocktails. City workers can rejoice at round-the-clock dining, while those shopping up a storm in Queen St Mall can escape the chaos to refuel.

The green, leafy space has an relaxed Hamptons feel, and their Mediterranean-inspired menu will allow diners to escape to a world featuring fresh, local seafood, house-made breads, and premium cheese. The menu lends itself to sharing, and though classics are always a feature, dishes from Head Chef Gary Howieson, like local prawns with Byron Bay nduja, showcase Goldfinch’s unique personality.

Bar snacks are sorted with the wood-fired oven churning out delectable pizzas with toppings like gorgonzola, fig jam, confit potato and rosemary, as well as fresh flatbread with tahini and dukkah. As well as lunch and dinner, the breaky spread is a definite crowd-pleaser with a dark chocolate quinoa bowl or classic eggs Benny with smoked ham on offer. For students and busy city workers, there are heaps of grab ‘n’ go options to get where you need to be.

Looks like we’ve found our new city hangout!
