It’s the hoppiest time of the year! Beer InCider
is back once again, boasting a selection of over 300 beers and ciders from 53 different breweries, 18 food trucks and 9 bands, all crammed into one massive two-day festival.
With so much to do, see and most importantly, drink, we thought we’d fill you in on the highlights, and share some tips on where to get tipsy.
That’s a paddlin’
With so many beers to sample, make sure to grab a paddle as you come through the door and get ready to taste the day away. Trust us, the paddle makes you much more efficient (and you won’t peak too early).
Sip exclusive brews
You can’t go home without trying a Sad Rude Future Brew, the exclusive collaboration between Brisbane’s own Ball Park Music and Green Beacon Brewing. Show some town pride and have a schooner, or six.
And they’re not the only ones. Aether, Ballistic, Kaiju!, Brouhaha and Wrongside are all offering exclusive bevvies for Beer InCider too. We’ve got our fingers crossed for some experimental sips – whether they’re super hoppy or hella smokey.
More than a beer festival – they’ve got everything, and we mean EVERYTHING you want to eat. Soak up the cider with burgers, ribs, wings, nachos, pizza, pasta, seafood, donuts and more! Brisbane favourites Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers, I Heart Brownies and The Cheeseboard will be representing too.
Remember, Beer InCider is a cash free event (you won’t wake up the next morning looking for that missing $50, score), so you can pay for all your goodies with your ‘tap and go’ card.
Like with most things in life, putt putt and ping pong are so much more fun after a few beers. Grab a brew and get ready to showcase your athletic prowess, your mates will be very impressed.
The Garden Bar
Courtesy of our brilliant buddies at 4 Pines and Brookvale union, The Garden Bar will be tucked away under the famous fig trees, providing the perfect spot to grab a seat and chill out.
Espresso Martini, Prosecco and Wine Bar
Just in case you’ve had your fill of beer and cider (is that even possible?), head to the espresso martini, prosecco and wine bar for you fill of all things bubbly. Spring will have sprung and it will well and truly be spritz season again, make sure you embrace it.
We don’t know about you guys, but for us the year would be un-beer-able without this festival. Get excited, Brisbane!
