We’ve scoured the city and found the best ones at which to nibble, sort your Christmas shopping, and embrace the silly season!
With Christmas just around the corner, Wandering Cooks is once again hosting the Small Batch Christmas Market. Your gifting is covered with ceramists, food makers, coffee roasters, candle makers and more! Run over December 10-12, the list of vendors includes brew providers Sunday’s Coffee, wellness latte powders from Zandi Organics, chocolates by 31 Degrees Custom Chocolates, Ugly Duck Preserves’ hand-crafted, small-batch preserves, painting and ceramic work by Brush and Wheel, and artisanal homewares by Scrumptious Reads… plus so much more!
The event will run from 5pm-8pm on Monday, 9am-8pm on Tuesday, and 9am-10pm on Wednesday.
Beenleigh Town Square Markets are ringing in the holiday season with the return of their snow-normous Christmas Celebration on November 23! Enjoy a summer evening at the markets and witness its winter wonderland makeover. It’s the perfect place to finish off (or reluctantly start) Christmas shopping while enjoying delicious gourmet provisions and a huge range of festive foods. Live entertainment will get you into the festive spirit and specialty stalls will be chock-full of artisan gifts. Kids activities, a spectacular display of decorations, and maybe a cheeky mulled wine are sure to keep everyone happy! This free event will run from 5pm-9pm.
Christmas on Cribb is back! Come December 7 from 4pm-10pm, Milton Markets will be decking the halls, hanging the holly and providing plenty of fun times. Undergoing a winter wonderland makeover of their own, Christmas on Cribb will be the perfect place to get suitably stuffed and stocked up on food, drink and all those *cough* pesky gifts. Plenty of stalls will allow you to shop to your heart’s content and the kids will be taken care of with entertainment and activities.
Karuna House will be packed to the brim with gifts, decorations and festive foods for their annual charity Christmas Market on November 30. Karuna House provides palliative care to those who are living with a life-limiting illnesses, so every dollar spent will contribute to the care of someone with whom they work. To celebrate the work they do (and the festive season), join Karuna House for an afternoon of music, garden lights, and food in the name of supporting their worthy cause!
Renowned lifestyle and eatery precinct Coorparoo Square will come alive with a boutique fashion and creative market welcoming local designers, recycled fashions, handmade wares, DIY workshops and live music between 10am and 2pm on December 8. Sidenote: for $75, there will also be a guided wreath-making workshop, but spots are limited so get in quick! We love a charitable cause, so they are asking that visitors kindly donate a gold coin with proceeds going to the very worthy Women’s Legal Service Queensland.

Take the stress out of Christmas, meet some of the local makers, and enjoy all the diverse goods they have on offer at Southbank’s iconic GOMA on December 15 between 9am-4pm.
Graceville will grace us with a variety of stalls including hand-crafted jewellery, flower posies, plants, artwork, bags, homewares and plenty more. The perfect opportunity to pick up a gift for that special someone, after you’ve decided what to get, you can grab a freshly brewed coffee or a bite to eat at one of the many local cafes. The market will be held at the Presbyterian church hall at 12 Bank Road, Graceville on November 24 from 9am-1pm.
What’s better than a Saturday morning at the Rocklea Markets? A Saturday morning with the addition of an extra aisle dedicated to Christmas! Your prayers have been answered and you’ll be able to stock up on Christmas hams, prawns, and produce galore before checking out the excellent fashion, art and craft, and gift ideas on offer in Christmas Lane at Brisbane MarketPlace. End your morning with a delicious breakfast and some toe-tapping tunes in their food court. This extra aisle of fun will be rocking and raving on December 15 and 22 from 6am.
The Valley Laneways are kicking off the silly season with vintage clothing and a second-hand goods market. With over 40 sellers and live DJs, find plenty of authentic, unique, and one-off items perfect for Christmas gifts (or yo’self). Amongst the goods will be records, CDs, old school denim and leather items, books, plants, jewellery, swimwear, lingerie… the list goes on! Winn Lane will be your go-to for streetwear and hip-hop inspired goods, or look to Bakery Lane for classical vintage for the ladies, while California Lane will showcase sportswear, surf-inspired vintage and snow cones! Pop in, have a boogie, and pick up a unique Christmas gift amongst the lanes on December 8 between 2pm-7pm.
The World Food Markets are bringing a festival dedicated to all things Christmas to Brisbane Powerhouse! Sustainable practices will be in place, and the venue will transform into a magical Christmas market village complete with live entertainment for the whole family. As for the food and market goods, stalls will be stacked with Christmas cakes and puddings, decorations, trees and wreaths, artisanal and handmade gifts, traditional baked goods, international snacks and treats, locally-made toys and clothes, healthy and not-so-healthy treats and, of course, fabulous food and wine! Join in the festive fun from 5pm – 9pm, starting Friday, November 30 before running across the first three weekends of December.
