Feast and get festive at the Christmas Markets

For some it’s the most wonderful time of the year. For others it’s stress central, trying to buy gifts for family and friends (dad doesn’t mind socks, right?), stocking the fridge for Christmas lunch and trying to figure out who will be offended least for being left off the Christmas card list.

Add on top of that having to make trips to Mordor (shopping centres during the silly season) and we’re on the verge of a meltdown just thinking about it. But fear not my frazzled friends, we have the solution.

Following the success of the World Food Markets, our favourite crew is back again to bring us a series of mouth-watering Christmas markets popping up in Newstead, Corinda and Red Hill.

Gather your friends, family and fur babies and get into the Christmas spirit with these neighbourhood twilight markets, bringing a little slice of Europe to Brisbane. With an eclectic mix of over 20 food and drink stalls including providore and artisanal handmade goods and gifts, decorations and Christmas cakes – the World Food Markets are this Christmas’ one stop (ethical) shop.

Forget about mass produced gifts and purchase fair trade and handmade products from local small businesses whilst you and the fam groove to live music and gorge yourself on delicious food.  Giving you even more to Christmas Cheer about, beer and wine will be available from bars, with profits going to local charities. Market days:

Baby it’s hot outside , so BYO picnic blanket, grab a beer or wine from the bar and let all memories of carpark traffic jams and aggressive bargain hunters fade away – it’s Christmas after all.
