Sunnybank is known for embracing gorgeous Asian culture, and Lunar New Year will be no exception.
From February 4-10, one week-long (and free!) New Year extravaganza fit for an emperor will take to Sunnybank Plaza and Shopping Centre.
The impressive program includes everything from tai chi demonstrations to traditional lion dance and kung fu performances, silk embroidery workshops, Chinese calligraphy and ice carving, along with feng shui consultations, lantern making for the kids and traditional art and craft displays.
Food-wise, an abundance of delicious Asian cuisine will also be on offer, with over 60 authentic Asian restaurants located across the centres all serving up their tasty delicacies. From Japanese to Chinese, Vietnamese, Taiwanese and Hong Kong style, there is truly something to satisfy everyone, and appropriately pig out. Year for it!
To top off your experience, make sure you attend the infamous Lunar New Year Rooftop Party, returning on Saturday 16 February 2019 from 4pm and wrapping up with a stunning fireworks display.
