At Hampton Festival on Sunday, May 19, take a vacation day to get back to the roots of all things fresh and local with all-natural food and produce, extremely sippable wines, and gorgeous arts and music courtesy of this South East Queensland community!
Truly a taste of the good life, this High Country fest just off the New England Highway promises an almost never-ending range of food vendors, produce and winery stalls, and artisanal goods (plenty of which you can buy direct from the grower themself).
Make your way to Hampton (just half an hour from Toowoomba) where, among the abundant food stalls, you’ll find a fine selection of wine and cheese tastings at your fingertips. Buy fresh produce from an on-site market, listen to local growers chat about their products (including a session with Pechey’s soon-to-launch gin distillery!) and eat some mighty fine food fare from local restaurants and cafes.
Championed alongside Hampton’s food offering is the equally dazzling Hampton Art Exhibition and local music line-up, with artists such as The Hobsons, Sophie Volp, and Songbird all set to make an appearance. Additionally, there’ll be plenty of activities to keep the kids busy, including cooking workshops and mesmerising sand sculptures!
Summer vacation house? Maybe. A day perusing the deliciousness that is Hampton Festival? An absolute must!
