Brisbane’s only chocolate festival is coming to Portside Wharf this July!

You either love chocolate or you’re lying, so if World Chocolate Day isn’t enough to get you excited, celebrating said foodie holiday by indulging in everything from chocolate nachos to dessert cocktails will!

From 10am-4pm on Sunday, July 7, the sweetest Sunday sesh, dubbed ChocFest, will see a family-friendly day of treats and entertainment take to Portside Wharf, where you can catch the ultimate sugar rush (and enjoy it all at your own pace).

Chocolate will take over every group in the food pyramid at ChocFest, seeing epic foodie hybrids such as chocolate churro tacos from Burrito Bar, honeycomb crumble shakes from Hello Harry, chocolate sambousek from Byblos, a chocolate fondue fountain from Moda Events, and Nutella pizza with banana and coconut ice cream from Gusto da Gianni bring out everyone’s inner child.

If you’re looking for an extra kick, chocolate cocktails are a go! Byblos will be pouring two special chocolate cocktails on the day including Dark Desire with chocolate, mint and cream, and a Milky Bar martini with white chocolate and cream. Go one better and add Gusto da Gianni’s dark chocolate Borghetti cocktail (a specialty Italian coffee liqueur with dark chocolate ice cream) to your sip-list!

Big-name brands will also be joining the party, with the like of Crunchy’s Waffles, Fudge Forever, Mayfield Chocolates, J’adore Les Crêpes, Poppy’s Chocolate, Zoe’s Brownies and Yaku Latin Goods popping up at ChocFest!

Although kids will already be well and truly in their element (big kids, too), ChocFest is going the extra mile by offering littlies free face painting and balloon artists, as well as the chance to get their hands on a free cookie from the giant cookie tree (available to the first 500 people on the day)! If that isn’t going to make their year, we don’t know what will…

The best part? ChocFest is free to enter!
