Espresso yourself at Fish Lane's Espresso Martini Festival

Gone are the days when we would settle for a vodka Red Bull, we’re all grown up – and now we get our caffeine/booze hit in the form of an espresso martini.

The answer to, “what would James Bond drink if he worked mornings?”, the espresso martini is a classic staple in any bar, and we always have a hard time looking past it.

Now, espress to our doorstep, the Brisbane Espresso Martini Festival is back and causing a buzz. Feel your heart racing? That’s no caffeine (okay, just a little), that’s the excitement of your Fish Lane faves serving up their best concoctions in one space on August 14.

Say hey to Hello Please and Ol’ School, two of South Brisbane’s go-to eateries serving classic espresso martinis with a twist and a few of their signature bites.

You’ll do a double take (and possibly a double shot) when you see the cocktail list. With rum salted golden syrup, condensed milk cold drip vanilla martinis and more to be announced, move over Nescafé Blend 43 – our hearts are racing!

For $45, you’ll be greeted with an espresso martini and street eats including potato scallops, fish cake bao and dim sum – and if you’re feeling the rush a little too early, grab any of the festival’s wine, beer or soft drinks.

The Espresso Martini will be held in the art lined Fish Lane with pop-up bars and lounge spaces, so if you’re looking for a place to kick back with your friends, your search is over. Grab tickets here!
