Eat.Drink.Westfield | The Gourmand & Gourmet

Eating and drinking are pretty crucial to our existence, so it’s lucky that most of what’s on offer in Brisbane tastes mind-numbingly good.

Even better is when the stars align and your favourite eateries join forces to create a full on food festival.

Well friends, the stars have indeed aligned.

Eat.Drink.Westfield – two days of eats, sips and entertainment – is coming to Westfield Carindale and Westfield Garden City this weekend. You know that means? Free samples (now that’s livin’).

Whatever you’re doing on August 5 and 6, cancel that… because food. Westfield Carindale will have a tonne of sampling stations from the likes of Max Brenner and Grill’d, and pop-ups including Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers and Treasury Wine Estates. Nothing like a bit of gnocchi and wine in the morning, are we right?

Westfield Garden City is gonna get your interactive juices flowing with an edible live art installation, cocktail making classes at The Palms, and even kids cooking classes at Vapiano – the perfect way to get an occasional night off cooking at home.

Of course there will be live music and entertainment in true festival fashion, but don’t worry, it won’t distract you from eating your way through all the samples.

It’s probably not appropriate to try and stuff a bunch of free food in your bag for later, but hey, you could always try. On that note – festival responsibly!
