Dining in the Dark is back at The Mix Bar!
It’s a stab in the dark. With a fork.
You can’t see it, but it’s back! Woolloongabba’s The Mix Bar has officially reopened its doors and is bringing back its sensory dining experience, Dining in the Dark. We’re here to tell you everything you need to know, so you’re not left in the dark. Oh, wait…
Light up your tastebuds and let the food do the talking by dining in (you guessed it!) complete and utter darkness. The perfect way to mix up the way you dine, Dining in the Dark elevates your sense of taste and smell by taking sight away.
You’ll indulge in a decadent three-course mystery meal in the dark, with full table service and drinks. Don’t fear, you won’t have food spilled on you or hear a glass smash (taxi!), because the waiters will be wearing night-vision goggles when they serve you. Sounds like a fun gig, huh!?
Rest assured that a COVID-safe plan is fully enforced, social distancing measures are in place and additional hygiene standards have been added at The Mix Bar.
As a dining-in-the-dark experience, foodies should also note that no light is allowed, which means surrendering cameras and mobile phones at the door. But since it’s too dark for those Insta-worthy shots, who needs them anyway?
At the moment, two dates are locked in for Dining in the Dark: 7 pm on Friday, July 3 and July 10, and you’ll want to get in quick, Brisbane, as this is a pretty popular experience. Reserve your spot here, and prepare for a blind date like no other!
