Dig in to the Good Food and Wine Show 2018
Love good food, wine and a great time?
You’re in luck, because the event covering all the aforementioned, the Good Food and Wine Show, is rolling into town for one weekend only!
“Celebrity chefs galore” is one way to describe the line-up for the Show this year – Matt Moran, Maggie Beer, Matt Golinski, Alistair McCleod, Darren Robertson and Miguel and Carlos Maestre will all be making appearances throughout the weekend, with other experts in tow.
Among the activities on offer is the opportunity to dine at lunches designed by Darren Robertson, Matt Golinski, Matt Moran and Maggie Beer, a lesson in barbecuing hosted by Matt Moran and Maggie, a session on the next big wine trend (chilled reds, of course), an after-hours cocktail workshop, and a Riedel sensory workshop which explores how the shape of a wine glass can affect wines (who said wine can’t be educational?).
With ample samples on offer, you might even find your new favourite food or drop. This year’s exhibitors include beer favourites (Gage Roads, Holsten Zero and Westons Australia), winemakers (DeBortoli Wines, Sirromet Wines, Pizzini Wines) and for fresh produce, Angelo’s Fresh Pasta, Beeswax Wraps Australia, and Sprout and Kernel.
On the food and condiments front, exhibitors include Tucker’s Natural, connoisseurs of all natural gourmet and snack crackers, bites and fruit pastes, Goose on the Loose, specialists in hand-crafted salami, Great Southern Truffles, Hum Honey, Wyld Smoke BBQ and Ragini Spice. Top it off with samples from sweet treat exhibitors such as Cadbury, Kokopod, Ungermann Brothers Ice Cream, and Magie Beers’ own icecream label!
The Show runs from October 26-28 from 9am-5pm. Tickets for general entry start at $25, and all masterclass and experience sessions will require another ticket – but can you really put a price on great food, wine, and fun times?
