Sit back, relax, enjoy the show-oh. We’ve come across a place where dinner IS the show, and boy is it deliciously entertaining.

Catbird Seat Bistro is Woolloongabba’s hidden gem, offering a little slice of Europe with very large and in charge flavours. Because we’re always wanting the latest and greatest eats, Catbird Seat Bistro is treating our privileged little souls to a brand new winter menu, and we’ve let the cat out of the bag.

If you’re not usually an entrée fan, we hope you’re not immune to change. There are three words that every girl wants to hear – Barossa Baked Camembert, and it will have you screaming cheese please all the way to another wheel. If you’re feeling festive, the local boar and turkey liver pate is pleasantly unique (and satisfying).

In the comeback of the century, gnocchi has made a swift return to the menu due to popular demand! This season’s menu offers fluffy homemade gnocchi with pickled mushroom. Tbh we’ll be gnocchin’ on their door a LOT for this puppy.

If you’d rather have some fun under the sea, reel in the freshest fish of the day in town. You can expect exciting flavours everyday, like barramundi with pea and kaffir lime parfait, and everybody likes parfait.

Wrap things up with a rich, bitter dark chocolate mousse, complete with honeycomb and milk gel for a grown up milk and cookies feel. A flashback Friday you can eat? Doesn’t get any better than that.

If all of that sounds pretty darn impressive, that’s because the chef is French trained, using his broad range of techniques for cooking European inspired dishes using local produce.

Very important side note: the wine list is a fine list. Pair your perfect sip with an other worldly dish and you’ll be on cloud wine.

Name a more iconic duo than cat-dog? Catbird. We didn’t wait.
