This one’s for the meat-free lovers: opening up on a Sunday especially for V-Day, Za Za Ta is serving up a chef-curated vegetarian menu with a glistening glass of Taittinger on arrival for just $99pp! Featuring the funky Middle Eastern/Mediterranean flavours for which this lavish spot is known, the menu includes zucchini flowers with kashkaval, baba ganoush, pistachios and caper aioli, halloumi drenched in honey, and eggplant h’raime with gazpacho, tahini and a spring bean salad PLUS a mystery dessert special and a gift for couples to take home.

Celebrating all things love from Friday, February 12 to Sunday, February 14, Sofitel is the place for a romantic meal of gastronomical proportions…

Thyme2 Restaurant is offering an indulgent three-course dinner across the whole weekend (though Sunday dinner is booked out!), with regular a la carte dining also available. The generous Valentine’s menu is $184pp (including a bottle of Louis Roederer Brut Premier!) and kicks off with a stunning brioche lobster bruschetta before a main of your choice and a dessert titled Chocolate Obsession. How very intriguing… 

If a classy daytime affair is more your thing, Cuvee Lounge Bar is offering a high tea between 11 am and 5.30 pm on the Saturday and Sunday. Celebrate two of the things you love most (cheese and champagne) at Inchcolm by Ovolo’s Valentine’s High Cheese! The six-course tasting menu–devoted to Moreton Bay Bugs–takes diners through dishes like creamy bug chowder, tempura-battered salt and pepper bugs and bug and prawn risotto, with a glass of prosecco or Balter XPA on arrival. Usually serving up bar snacks and salumi, Honour Ave Cellars is changing things up by offering an exclusive and intimate long lunch and dinner for Valentine’s Day. 

You and your significant other will be treated to a luxe five-course meal with complimentary bubbles on arrival and optional wine pairings. Standouts of the produce-driven menu include the first course of cured ocean trout with pickled rhubarb and pink pepper crostini, the triumphant fourth course of 36-hour lamb shoulder with heritage carrots roasted in burnt butter, and the beloved blackberry and custard tart for dessert.
