Cure what ales you at Helsby's Ale House.
A new chapter is brewing at Brisbane’s beloved Pineapple Hotel - Helsby’s Ale House.
Helsby is the hip little brother we’ve been waiting for. A bar within a bar, it has all the charm of the classic Pineapple Hotel – with a focus on independent and craft beers, delicious bites, and attitude. IP-yay!
Not just a step forward, Helsby’s is also a nod to the past – named after much-loved Pineapple Hotel caretaker Joe Helsby, a familiar face among the bar from 1952-2002. Refurbishments have also seen the hotel stripped back to its roots with the original tin ceiling, exposed brickwork and leadlight windows.
A throwback to the public bar of old, you can sit at the bar and watch the dedicated staff work their magic.
With sixteen taps of craft beers and ciders, you’re not going to want to tap out anytime soon. Helsby’s has a focus on finding the very best examples of each beer styles, and with taps changing weekly, you’ll never have to worry about making pour choices.
Grab a pint of the bar’s signature beer, Helsby’s House Lager, and cure your hunger pains with plates of yakitori skewers, pulled pork tacos, barbeque corn and chacuterie boards. Big thirst got you working up to a big meal? After 3pm, nibbles give way to larger plates of woodfired pizzas and burgers.
Now that’s something to stout about. So for something old, something new and something brewed – head into Helsby’s Ale House.
