Celebrate a decade of deliciousness
- 14 Jul 2015
Chef Brent Farrell has been gracing Toowong with his culinary genius for ten years, having first wowed diners with exquisite French fare at Brent’s before packing up the white tablecloths to offer more casual and creative shared meals at 85 Miskin Street, the current incarnation of his suburban restaurant. And to celebrate the venues first double digits birthday, they’re serving up a degustation dinner to end all degustation dinners for the entire month of July! The celebratory six course dinner showcases the best of Brent’s cuisine from the past decade, featuring dishes that have proven to be firm favourites with diners. We’re glad they’ve done the choosing for us – deciding between past desserts like the black forest floor and the garden flower chocolate pot would have been far too much for us. With everything from his infamous wild mushroom cappuccino to sautéed seafood and creamy, steaming bisque with crusty bread on the menu, our mouths are watering already. Crispy confit of duck with butternut pumpkin and liquorice, one of our personal faves, has also made it onto the menu, along with braised beef cheek and that black forest floor. You can even match it all with incredible French and Australian wines to complete the experience. Whether you’re a die hard fan or you’ve yet to sample Brent’s cuisine, at $60 for six whole courses (or $95 if you want matching wines – and why wouldn’t you?) the deal is so good that you’d be insane to miss it. To enjoy the lavish feast, head to 85 Miskin Street for lunch or dinner before the end of July.
