Brisbane's biggest burger festival is back! | The Gourmand & Gourmet

Brisbane's biggest burger festival is back!

We don’t want none unless you got burger buns, hun.

And The Triffid got buns. The best buns.

Time to mustard up your appetite, roll back your sleeves, and prepare to get your hands greasy—for the third year running, Brisbane’s Burger Fest is making a cheesy, juicy, and deliciously sloppy return on Saturday, August 17.

Guaranteed to leave you with a decent burger-sized food baby, leave no pattie unturned or fry undevoured as The Triffid shuts down Stratton Street and fills it with Brisbane’s most delicious burger joints.

Got the urge for a burg? With each stall dishing up one fan favourite, a Burger Fest exclusive, and a delicious side, read on to find out this year’s lineup of the city’s most famed buns.

Experience the best goddamm burg flavours of New York City as the trendy 5 Boroughs sashays into the area, and enjoy pimped-up classics courtesy of Miss Kay’s satisfyingly delish goodies. We like brioche buns and we cannot lie, and if you do too, then you’ll definitely want a bite of Ben’s Burgers’ homemade, American-style classics.

Be warned: a jaw dislocation may be necessary to munch on Ze Pickles’ thicccc creations (but we promise it will totes be worth it), and you’ll be feeling like a lucky duck when you take one bite of Lucky Egg’s ethereally light, crispy fried chicken creations. Don’t have a cow, man, with MooFree Burgers’ uber tasty vegetarian and vegan options. Finally, The Triffid will also be bringing in the big guns (with big buns) as they hit the grill.

Washing down the goods will be all too tasty thanks to craft beers from local favourites Green Beacon Brewing and Stone & Wood Brewing. With live entertainment, a beer pong arena, burger eating competitions, and kids entertainment on offer, this is one festival worth every diet-blowing calorie.

Tickets are on sale now and expected to sell out faster than you can flick pickles off your burger. Click here to secure your place!
