Above the hustle and bustle of Queen St Mall, you’ll find Next Hotel’s rooftop terrace and bar. After a hard day of shopping, you can head four floors up and enjoy the peaceful poolside vibes and Brisbane’s gorgeous summer weather. Tapas, burgers, pizzas, salads, and ice-creams are available to satisfy those post-shopping hunger cravings, while your palate can be quenched by traditional cocktails such as piña coladas, Aperol spritzes and espresso martinis.

Lobby Bar | Calile Hotel Fortitude Valley

If you’re looking for a tipple with a side of luxe aesthetic, you’ll find it at the bespoke Lobby Bar at the new lush hotel, The Calile. With a considered wine list showcasing Australia’s finest, and paying tribute to the great viticulture regions of the world, classic cocktails (their gin fizz looks divine!), and tap and bottled beers, you’ll be lobbying your friends and fam to hit this spot up.

Sixteen Antlers | Pullman Hotel Brisbane City

Take in the city surrounds and relax on this leafy rooftop while you sip a cocktail or two! On the menu are aforementioned cocktails, craft beers and quality wines. Complimenting their delectable drinks menu is a food menu jam-packed with local produce. A charcuterie board, an artisan cheese board, a slider and fries or perhaps something sweet? You’ll also a range of Asian dishes on their Tapastry menu. Views and booze? You’ve got nothing to lose!

Lennon’s | Next Hotel Brisbane City

For authentic all-day dining and service as real and personal as the food served made using the freshest local produce, you can start your morning on a high with their buffet breakfast or pop by at lunch or after work for a feed and a drink. Choose from entrees like, kingfish crudo, confit duck leg, and king brown mushrooms and mains like, king prawns, beef cheek lasagne and pork belly. Desserts like ginger meringue, lemon cheesecake and pistachio semifreddo will end your meal on a high and leave you wanting more!

Up on Constance | Tryp Hotel Fortitude Valley

Boasting an ever-changing food, cocktail, wine and beer menu and a swirling back-bar hand-picked with new, unusual and rare spirits from around the world, the fun keeps flowing at Up. Their food menu has been made to comfort with additions like crispy bao, sliders, braised lamb ribs and charcuterie boards. Their drinks menu is extensive (which we love) and well thought out. With names like “Japanese Beach Party”, “Sunburnt Mexican” and Smokey Walker and the Big Rusty Apple”, it’s anyone’s guess how they came to be, but we’ve been assured they’re definitely worth a swig.

Soleil Pool Bar | Mantra South Bank

Their dining options hero fresh, seasonal produce across single, shared and smaller plates. These have been impeccably matched with a headline list of drinks, from single pours to the most intricate celebratory cocktails. If you have a special request which is not on the menu, they’re happy to oblige and make that special bev as you wish. On the food front, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the range of meals on offer. Nothing too fancy – just good hearty food. Burgers, salads, pizzas and other sharing plates like chicken wings, porcini arancini, and Peking duck spring rolls will have your tummies left full. Just be sure to wait 20 minutes before going for a dip!

The Terrace | Emporium Hotel Southbank

You want Brisbane city and river views 21 floors up? The Terrace is for you! Matching boutique cocktails, Asian-inspired eats and luxe, opulent vibes, you’ll be in bar heaven. Those balmy Brisbane days will become a distant memory (at least momentarily) as the breeze wisps you from their balcony towards the bar (it’; s simple physics!). Their beverage list features all your fave classic cocktails, with a few signature concoctions thrown in, as well as local and international wines and spirits. As for food, nosh on their all-day dining menu with oysters, Korean chicken, grilled haloumi and sticky lamb ribs on offer. Delish!
