It’s time to shine the spotlight on everyone’s favourite drink – the classy, the classic, G&T. From Thursday April 28 to Sunday May 1, Howard Smith Wharves will be transformed into a cellar-bration of all things gin as Brisbane Fever Tree host their inaugural four-day G&T Festival.
Gin lovers from all over town can discover their new favourite pairings and (g)innovations as they get to explore (and sample!) 20 new drops from local and international distilleries (including the new gin-based Orange and Grapefruit Aperitif ‘Sunset Bitter’ from Noosa’s Seabourne Distillery), alongside the world’s leading premium mixers at Fever Tree’s Tonic Discovery Bar.
Ticket holders can sip bespoke, full sized G&T pairings in The Ultimate Gin & Tonic Bar, while munching on everything from tacos and street food, to light meals and gourmet bites. Four Pillars Riverside G&T Bar are also pairing their drinks with a selection of ‘Made from Gin’ charcuterie and cheese boards. What a time to be alive!
For those wanting more insight into the (g)interesting world of distilling, the four-day festival will feature a smorgasbord of workshops and discovery talks, where you can learn everything there is to know about gin pairing – including how to make a gin and tonic ice cream float!
Tickets are $65 (plus booking fee) and includes entry to the festival, six complimentary G&Ts, live music, workshops and discovery talks.
