Famed Melbourne pastry slinger Lune Croissanterie is coming to Brisbane in winter of 2021, setting up shop in a sizable Fish Lane site. Pumping out around 20,000 flaky, buttery boys a week across their Melbourne CBD and Fitzroy locations, Lune has been touted as “the world’s best croissanterie” more than a few times, and Brisbane is SO lucky to be scoring a shop of its own. We look forward to bringing you more on this in 2021!
An intimate Korean fine diner will arrive in Woolloongabba before the year’s end, with Butterfly set to open its grand doors on Wednesday, 16 December. Owned and operated by Michelin-trained chef Alex Kim, the 22-seater will feature a multi-course menu (like, 16ish courses…) that changes daily and highlights the best and brightest flavours of gourmet Korean cuisine.
Wine collective The Fruitful Pursuit is hosting a celebration of emerging Aussie winemakers in January at FRESH BLOOD. Over Saturday, January 16 and Sunday, January 17, Siffredi’s and Zero Fox will play host to an array of South Australian and Victorian winemakers showing off their drops, with names like Ada Wine Co, Geyer Wine Co, CRÉ Wines, and Little Brunswick on the cards. A one-day pass will score you tastings of more than 30 wines and a snack and a sweet from Siffredi’s or Zero Fox, plus a glass to take home–grab your ticket here!
On the hunt for a barefoot bowls club that actually serves decent food? Well, simply head to Indooroopilly Bowls Club for all that and more, as their food and bev offerings are being taken over by The Good Place on the Greens! The groovy health cafe will boast a fully GF menu alongside a bunch of biodynamic wines, just like their Sunshine Coast counterpart. The Good Place on the Greens will open at the bowls club on Friday, December 18, with exciting pop-ups on the cards for 2021 including outdoor cinemas, live music, and degustations!
