Looks like October is all about spritzes, seafood, and some tasty new faces...

From the long-awaited return of Fish & Spritz at One Fish Two Fish to a new Cheeky Poke Bar (free tacos!) and two new eateries, we’ve got a lot on our plate this week!

We went crazy for it last spring, and it looks like Fish & Spritz is back on the menu at One Fish Two Fish! Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday lunch in October and November, swing by the Kangaroo Point seafood spot for a four-course menu with free-flowing spritzes, between 12 pm and 2 pm or 2.15 pm to 4.30 pm. Highlights of the Fish & Spritz deal include a fresh kingfish ceviche with warm tortillas and a grilled snapper fillet with Tuscan salad, perfectly washed down with an Amalfi spritz. Head here to read the full menu and book your spot at the spritz-fest!

Speaking of splendid springtime sips, there’s a new mobile cocktail bar driving around Brisbane… Introducing Margarita Margarita–a game-changer of South East Queensland’s nightlife scene! The team have taken a decommissioned vintage ice cream van from the UK, given him a total makeover and named him Stanley, and he’s ready to stop by your next event! Head here to book him in.

Cheeky Poke Bar is opening its fourth eatery at Westfield Garden City on Wednesday, serving its signature wonton tacos, poke bowls, tuna nachos, and more. To celebrate the opening (and because who doesn’t love fish tacos!?) Cheeky Poke Bar is giving away 100 free tacos every day for five days! Simply visit their new store in the Garden City dining precinct between Wednesday, October 7 and Sunday, October 11 and be one of the first 100 customers from 3 pm.

There’s a tasty new bar and eatery set to open in The Valley later this month, based on the iconic Kill Bill films! Kiddo will take over the former home of Shishou Sake Bar, and serve up a punchy menu of American-style eats with heavy Japanese influences… Expect fluffy baos, crunchy fried chicken, and a heap of creative cocktails. Stay up to date with Kiddo’s opening via their Instagram

Also opening its doors later this month is restaurant and bar Joey’s at the iconic Kangaroo Point clifftop. Transforming the space into a relaxed, tropical oasis, Joey’s will serve up breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week, with an impressive drinks list to match! Head to their website to get a taste of Joey’s, and book your gang in.
