Ready for a White Claw summer?

With plant-based breakies, multi-course whisky dinners and an iconic American seltzer coming to town, we’re ready to welcome October with open arms…

After taking the USA by storm last summer, White Claw has crossed the pacific and will be on the shelves of your local Dan Murphy’s within a matter of weeks! Dan Murphy’s has announced an exclusive pre-order system, meaning everyone can get their claws on the seltzers via delivery or pick up when they arrive in stores on Monday, October 12. Head here to access the pre-order from Monday, October 5, and prepare yourself for the claw.

Whisky lovers, get in quick! Ehden Bar and Kitchen is hosting a Starward whisky tasting on Thursday, October 1, celebrating the gorgeous Melbourne drop and pairing it with a menu of whisky-centric eats. From the Starward old fashioned on arrival to the Starward Red Manhattan and twice-baked blue cheese souffle for the fourth course, the night will be a true celebration of food and booze. Give the Ehden team a call on 3844 2346 to book your spot!

Vegan tapas hotspot You Came Again has this week launched a brunch menu, with plant-based and gluten-free yummies to satisfy that morning rumble. We’re loving the jackfruit breakfast burrito, vegan pho, and vench toast with berry compote, maple syrup, crème fraîche, and caramelised walnut dust. And don’t even get us started on those breaky cocktails!

On Thursday, October 15, The Sound Garden is hosting a very special four-course smoked dinner that can’t be missed. The Jack, Stone, and Two Smoking Barrels dinner is named to acknowledge Jack Daniels and Stone & Wood–the two beverages that will wash down each course. Kicking off with a hot-smoked salmon pâté with whiskey jelly, cucumber, and mint paired with Stone & Wood’s The Gatherer and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, the menu will take diners on a culinary journey from Fortitude Valley to Byron Bay and Tennessee! Tickets to the event are $85 per person, and can be purchased here

It’s with pleasure that we announce Armakeggon is back and better than ever this October. Archive Beer Boutique’s annual craft beer festival is returning on Saturday, October 17, showcasing 45 rare beers from across Brisbane and around the globe. Head upstairs to Loft and get comfy in the summer sour salon celebrating sour beers, while you enjoy jamboree-themed games, raffles, giveaways, and DJs! The event will kick off at 11:30 am and is totally free, but you big-time beer nerds (no shame) can grab a VIP ticket here.

And finally, this week we’ve heard news of a plant-based cafe coming to Bowen Hills! While Plant Vibes Cafe is still under construction, by mid-October you can expect to enter a wholesome space with plenty of greenery, Industry Beans coffee, and a brunch menu with raw treats, breakfast gnocchi, summery sharing boards, and more!

Can every week be this delicious, please?
