Give us all the Caramilk.

Hello and welcome to spring! We’re kicking off the new season with cocktails, Caramilk pancakes, gelato pops, and five course tasting menus. HBU?

It’s more than just a food trend. It’s more than just the flavour of the month. Cadbury’s Caramilk chocolate is a way of life. Launching today, September 1, is Cowch Dessert and Cocktail Bar’s dedicated Caramilk menu, complete with five cocktails and sweet treats loaded with the good stuff, including pancakes, waffles, hot chocolates and more! Book yourself into a Cowch near you, and see for yourself why we’re losing our minds over the stuff!

Alba Bar & Deli is throwing a very special event next Monday, September 7, in support of Melbourne’s hospo community–we’re talking six drinks made by six of Melbourne’s top bars (including The Everleigh, Capitano Carlton, Bar Liberty, and Black Pearl Fitzroy), with every cent going straight into helping venues bounce back from the crisis.

High tea is springing up at Emporium Hotel’s Belle Epoque, loaded with macarons with hazelnut praline buttercream, blueberry crumble choux with lemon myrtle cream, spiced Persian love cake, as well as finger-food savouries. Available from 11:30 am-3 pm daily, you can treat yourself from $55 with tea and coffee included, or opt for a glass of sparkling or champagne (or two-hours of the good stuff), for a little more.

Plant-based pals, this one’s for you. Salt Meats Cheese is putting on a very special vegan feast on Tuesday, September 8, aptly named Soul Meets Cheers. The five-course Italian banquet is loaded with yummies like caramelised eggplant, sweet potato pizzetta with truffle oil,  and orecchiette with Tuscan kale pesto. The menu will be available at all Salt Meats Cheese venues venues in QLD from 6pm–book your spot here

There’s a new seafood joint on the block, and it gets the tick of approval from us. Piranha Fish Caf has opened up in Merthyr Village, with a menu heavy on sea eats–battered, crumbed, or grilled to your liking! If you’re feeling fancy, swing towards the salt-and-pepper squid, fish tacos, and prawn baos, while more relaxed offerings include chunky chips, cheesy garlic bread, and crispy fish burgers.

It’s officially springtime, and we’re looking forward to all the treats that come with the warmer months. A Happy Pops hand-crafted gelato pop makes for the perfect snack, and they just happen to be available for FREE next Saturday, September 12. To celebrate their South Bank dispensary’s first birthday, Happy Pops will be slinging free pops between 4 pm and 6 pm–fully customizable and totally delicious. Pop to it!

Spring has sprung, and it’s set to be hecking tasty.
