Give us all the chicken wings.

July is finishing up on a delicious note… We’re talking $1 wings, cosy new cafes, five-course truffle degustations, and some of Brisbane’s very best pizza! 

It’s one of our favourite days of the year, and it has certainly snuck up on us! Wednesday, July 29 marks International Wing Day, and the folks at Lord of The Wings are serving up $1 wings to celebrate! From tomorrow until Sunday, August 2, (s)wing by their Carindale or Indooroopilly venues between midday and 8.30pm, and get messy with juicy wings tossed in your choice of 14 signature sauces. We all know how important PPE is… Please wear your bib and gloves at all times!

Staying south of the river, Dutton Park’s Little G is now Woolloongabba’s Little G, since moving last week to The Drapery building on Logan Road. With top-notch pizzas and non-pizza treats, it’s not hard to see (or taste) why Little G outgrew its cosy digs. 

Now, let’s get a little gourmet. We’re excited to announce that Emporium Hotel’s Signature restaurant is kicking off Sunday lunch service from Sunday, August 9, celebrating all things Queensland. For the first five weeks (from August 9) the menu will revolve around truffles, with a five-course degustation featuring yummies like Brisbane Valley quail ravioli with truffle veloute, and black truffle silken caramel served alongside truffle honey and mandarin. The brains behind The Black Lab Coffee Co., Paddington’s Blackout and The Valley’s The New Black have a new joint in the works–BLK BOX is set to open in West End on Monday, August 10. BLK BOX will be all about simplicity, with kerbside tables, a standing bar, and a few milk crates for seating. Food-wise, you can expect small bites like muffins, granola cups and protein balls, alongside The Black Lab’s signature beans.
