Brewsvegas hits Brisvegas: Part 2

One list just wasn’t enough for all the beery joy Brewsvegas is bringing to town so if you’ve filled up the first half of the week from the 21st to the 28th of March, now’s your chance to pencil in (who are we kidding, we mean permanent marker it) a whole bunch of beer heavy events for the second half. Thursday March 26 Scribble Slam | Kerbside | Fortitude Valley | Free entry No dictionary needed despite the name, Scribble Slam is an epic 90 minute art battle with the theme announced just before the timer starts. Head along to watch the fun with Stone & Wood brews in hand. Boilermaker Extravaganza | Archive | West End | $59 Archive, Jungle and Cobbler will take you on a West End journey of rum, bourbon, whiskey and beer, all matched with a three course meal so you don’t get too hungry with all that walking to the bar and back. Friday March 27 Prancing Pony Express | Fringe Bar | Fortitude Valley | Free entry Prancing Pony Brewery will be taking over Fringe Bar with their American style hoppy red ale and plenty of other brews. Holgate Mystery Beer Hunt | Super Whatnot | CBD | $15 Time to go into Sherlock mode. Get together your Watsons and head to Super Whatnot where you will be given a clue requiring great wits and a love of Holgate beer to solve and uncover the next location in this beery treasure hunt. As you roam the city, you’ll collect playing cards and more clues – return with the best poker hand and you win! The Brewer and his Beef | International Hotel | Spring Hill | $15 International Hotel is full of surprises, like a brewer who also produces beef. And where better to match the two than at the Hipwood Brewery?  They’re creating an organic pale ale just for the occasion to match with a selection of cheek to tail beef cuts from Kialla organic beef. brewsvegas 2 cooking with beerCooking with beer | The Mill On Constance | Fortitude Valley | $60 Put on your best frilly apron and learn how to make beery marinades, relishes and roasts while you snack on boozey bites and sip Mountain Goat beers. Freshly Brewed: Hops and Coffee | Pumpyard | Ipswich | $40 Get your hands dirty at Brisbane’s newest brewery mixing up 4 Hearts’ next specialty beer and then clean up for a boozy breakfast.
