Blanc out the date - Le Dîner en Blanc

It’s time to stock up on Napisan and dry clean that perfect, ivory shift - Le Dîner en Blanc is upon us. The calendar event of the summer, the secret, elegant affair is returning to Brisbane on Saturday 4th November.

Launched in Paris in 1988 by François Pasquier, Le Dîner en Blanc has become a worldwide epicurean phenomenon, celebrated on six continents by thousands of food enthusiasts. The Paris event alone attracts over 10,000 people a year, even our sleepy little city attracted 3,000 to last year’s soiree in the Brisbane Botanical Gardens. Dinner en Blanc day

Whilst technology has eclipsed the clandestine, traditional method of ‘word-of-mouth’ only, the principles behind the event remain the same: dress to impress, wine and dine, leave no trace.

Dressed in white (told you that Napisan would come in handy), food, fashion and culture enthusiasts will gather around the city before being taken to the secret location where they will participate in the picnic of the year.

Forget shabby rugs and cleanskin wine – Le Dîner en Blanc is as sophisticated as it is exclusive, so registering to be a part of the waitlist is essential.

Pack a basket, pick your outfit and prepare for the event of the Summer!
