Bars That Feel Like Summer All Year Round

Best Bars

From coast to coast we try and find that endless summer. That one place that will make us forget that we can’t feel our toes, where we can sip Pina Colada’s all year around and wear Hawaiian shirts, footloose and fancy free.

We’ve rounded up the best bars from Noosa to Broadbeach that keep us feeling tropical all year around.

Tucked away from the main street of West End, you’ll find the tiki oasis that is Jungle – complete with tiki torches, lei’s and rum barrels. Risk having a nice Sunday by ordering a Pina Colada in an ACTUAL PINEAPPLE (gone troppo much?) or share a rum soaked wooden bowl of the Killer Hurricane with friends.

Sneak through the jungle themed secret entry and admire the pineapple and pinup girl themed wallpaper, faux palm trees, and cane stools and you’ll wonder if you’ve stumbled onto the set of Blue Hawaii. Order a Dirty Hula Girl with West Winds, Goslings Rum, Kafir lime and malic tincture or keep it traditional with a Zombie with blended rums, lime and grapefruit. Soak up the rum with crispy wonton tacos, Hawaii dry rub ribs and poké bowls.

It was the most hotly anticipated opening of 2018, and it hasn’t disappointed! Basically a suburb within itself, the multi-level, open-air playground serves up summer vibes night and day. The on-site kitchen serves up American and Cuban inspired eats, whilst the bar slings summer cocktails, house beers and rosé on tap.

Nothing screams summer like a pool bar, even when it’s too cold to take a dip. With a garden inspired cocktail list serving up zesty numbers like Itsy, Bitsy Bloom – vodka, Lillet Rouge, homemade grapefruit and rosemary preserve and fresh grapefruit, it’ll feel like December in the middle of winter. Take a seat near the pool and ile way an afternoon sipping on cocktails and snacking and on battered prawns and porcini mushroom arancini.

One of the best little bars on the Sunshine Coast, Noosa’s Village Bicycle lives up to its motto of food, booze and good times. Take a seat in the beer garden and admire work from local graffiti artists as you sip on a cheeky Young Henry’s or a smashed crab cocktail (vodka, triple sec, pineapple and prosecco) fish taco in hand. This is livin’ Barry.

With an enormous beer garden, 90+ rotating beers on tap and more hot chippies than you could possibly eat, Osbourne Hotel is basically summer in the middle of the Valley. Don a Hawaiian shirt, sip on watermelon margaritas, refreshing Furphy’s and crisp rosé. Keen for a Sunday session? Chill out in the leafy beer garden, with live music and $15 pizzas all day.

We were e-lei-ted when Hula first swung open its tiki doors Serving up fresh, spicy Ahi poke bowls with soju, salt and pepper calamari and pulled pork sliders – the menu at Hula is as tropical as a fruit salad. Hula is serving up serious shakkas with its drinks menu including coastie favourite Balter beer and a range of tiki rum cocktails.

This house has BIG personality. It’s summer all year around in the renovated Queenslander with its fresh menu, tropical décor and fruity cocktail list. Munch on toasted grab buns with spicy aioli, keep it zingy with green papaya salad with chilli and pig out on fried fish burgers. Keep hydrated with cocktail cans and frosty frosé whilst challenging your mates to pool or belting out karaoke.

Don’t let our two weeks of winter get you down, rock some florals and get out and about!
