What’s on in food this week? A brunch feast fit for the man in red himself, a pop-up packed with quirky Christmas goodies and plenty of festive fun to see you right through to the final days of the silliest season!
Wandering Cooks have made your Christmas shopping a little less stressful with their pop-up markets. Pop in from 9am-9pm and check out quirky goodies from local food and craft makers perfect for stocking fillers and wrapping up to put under the tree. You can even grab a customized hamper for that picky relative who complains no matter what you get them. Milton Markets are getting a festive overhaul, just in time for the silly season. There will be pop up bars, live entertainment, festive foods, artisan gifts, guest stalls and best of all, an appearance from gelato legends, Gelato Messina, who’ll be bringing along a new Christmas flavour! Held on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th December from 4pm to 10pm, it really is the most wonderful time of the year. Forget decorations, all we want for Christmas is stomachs full to bursting. Held over eight balmy nights, South Bank will play host to a range of traditional Christmas gifts, keepsakes, festive live music and of course, an abundance of mouth watering eats. Santa may favour the north, but we’re pretty happy sticking to the south side of the river this Christmas. Head to South Bank from December 16-23 from 11am-10pm each day to check them out.
Oh yeah – free pizza! Fratelli are opening their first Brisbane pizzeria on Friday, and to celebrate, they’re giving away build your own pizzas to the first 500 customers! Be one of the first people through the doors and you’ll be able to build your own pizza by choosing one of three bases – sourdough, classic Napolitana, or gluten-friendly – and selecting from a number of sauces, seasoning and cheeses, and unlimited toppings! We’ll take a pizza that action!
