Whether you’re a Mean Girls fan or just want the chance to eat for charity, you should definitely wear pink to Delfina’s Bistro on Wednesdays. Not only will it get you a complimentary house wine or tap beer, but you’ll get a main meal for $20, with a donation from the meal going straight to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Portside Wharf is celebrating its 10th birthday, and to shine a spotlight on the four restaurants that have been there from the very beginning, they’re hosting a roaming dinner on October 6 and 13, with a four course meal that will take you to every one! Start with canapes at Moda Events then enjoy plates of soft shell crab and sashimi at Sono. Be sure to save room for the main course at Gusto da Gianni’s before you finish off the food trail with Lebanese sweets and cocktails at Byblos. All this for just $110? Oktoberfest Brisbane | Brisbane Showgrounds | 7-9 & 14-16 Oct
This Bavarian beerfest hosted at the RNA Showgrounds is the largest Oktoberfest celebration in Australia and one of the world’s top 10 outside of Germany. Basically, the showgrounds will be transformed into a German town festival, complete with a marketplace, gourmet food and plenty of beers, German and otherwise, in The Biergarten. Pop-up Cooking School | Wandering Cooks | South Brisbane
Real Food Projects is heading to Wandering Cooks for a full day of bread making, pickling and natural wine tasting, along with teaching plenty of other skills that could come in handy in your kitchen. Book in for one or all of the workshops happening on the day, and learn to make your own sausages, ferment kombucha and sauerkraut – and then taste all your hard work! Book in for each of the workshops, which range from $85-$110pp, here.

Portside Wharf is turning 10, and they’re celebrating with a two day long picnic! Grab a picnic blanket and settle in for an afternoon of free live music on the Brisbane river. There are a number of $10 lunch specials available from their delicious restaurants and takeaway spots including Aamaya Indian Restaurant, Gusto da Gianni, The Burrito Bar and Sono Japanese Restaurant. The event runs from 12-6pm Saturday & Sunday and is completely free!
World Food Day Dinner | Foodbank | Morningside | 6.30pm | $150
Want to eat your way through dishes from Brisbane’s most exclusive restaurants to support charity? Il Centro, Moda, Cha Cha Char, Jellyfish Enoteca and Newstead Brewery Co. have banded together to cook up a feast, all to support Queensland’s largest food relief organisation, Foodbank. Join them from 6.30pm for a stand up affair featuring delicious canapés, boutique brews and fine wines, along with tunes from The Havana Tropical Band.
