Winemaker Dinner | Sake | Eagle Street Pier One of Japan’s most renowned female winemakers, Ayana Misawa of The Grace Winery, is coming to visit and in her honour, Sake’s head chef will be whipping up a six course dinner with nine paired wines. Enjoy the intimate dinner of delectable bites while Misawa talks about her career and origin! Tickets are $150pp and seats are limited so book now.

5 Flavours Brew-off: Round #1 | Riverlife | Kangaroo Point Round one of 2016’s Five Flavours Brew-Off kicks off from 12-10pm, pitting much loved locals Green Beacon and Fortitude Valley Brewing head to (frothy) head in a battle of the brews. Fret not if beer isn’t for you, the festival aims to cater to all liquid preferences, with a selection of ciders, wine and soft drinks for those who find frothies less than fanciful.  The festival will also be putting on a spectacular street food menu, and a rotating line up of some talented local musos will act as the night’s entertainment.  With just $25 getting you event entry, two brews, and a bite to eat, how could you say no?

Sake it to Me! | Bird’s Nest | West End For one night only, Bird’s Nest are playing host to a master sake expert Rey Takahashi, who’ll be taking diners through the nuances of 8 rare sakes, matched with delicious Japanese delicacies from the Bird’s Nest kitchen. 8 courses of fun and feasting for only $49? Why wouldn’t you? Park Food Trucks | New Farm Park | New Farm What better way to kick back and relax on a Sunday than having a picnic? But don’t start packing that basket just yet, because New Farm Park will be full of delicious food trucks like The Bone Lorry, The Frying Piggy and The Bun Mobile! So all you have to do is bring your picnic rug and an empty stomach and sit back, eat and enjoy the live music from 12-3pm.

Brewsvegas Launch Party | Wandering Cooks | South Brisbane Brewsvegas 2016 is finally here and this year the line up is brew-zerk! If you don’t believe us, get down to Black Pearl Epicure and let the experts teach you how to pair your brews with your brie – you’ll never look back. But since seeing is believing, there will also be food stations from The Cheese Pleaser featuring raclette, charcuterie, paella, caviar and chocolate all matched with tasty Holgate Beers to convince you. Tickets are $10 if you book ahead or $15 at the door both including a beer on arrival. The Butter Factory Markets | Kingston Butter Factory | Kingston The Butter Factory Markets is the perfect way to spend your Saturday with handmade market stalls, food stalls and live entertainment and craft workshops for everyone to enjoy. Running 9am until 3pm at the Kingston Butter Factory, the event will feature plenty of hand made items in the rustic surrounds of the old butter factory.

Variety Hour Extravaganza | Brisbane Brewing Co. | West End What would Brewsvegas be without a Big Band performing inside a brewery, magic, pint juggling and slapstick comedy? Probably a lot safer – but nowhere near as much fun! Enjoy 5 pots of never-seen-before beers at this one-off event, each accompanied by four funky dishes and absurd variety acts.
