THURSDAY 1

TASTE OF SUMMER | WINEAWAY | BOWEN HILLS | 5-8PM | $30
Wineaway is offering the perfect summer tasting session, with over forty champagnes and wines from Australia, France, Italy and New Zealand, chosen especially as a perfect foil to the stifling summer heat. They’ve paired with La Macelleria Gelateria and Black Pearl Epicure so there’ll be plenty to eat on the night, including aperitivo and, of course, prosecco sorbet palate cleansers to make sure you know which wine you’re all about. Tickets are $30 redeemable with any dozen purchase on the night. Get sipping!

FRIDAY 2

EATS & BEATS CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL | UNDERWOOD PARK | 5-9PM
Mixing pop up food trucks and stalls with music and a dash of traditional Christmas festivities and decorations, the Eats & Beats Christmas market village, plenty of Christmas carols, and a special visit from Santa Claus will all get you in the mood for the most joyful time of year. The star on the top of the tree is that entry is completely free!  So, go on, give yourself an early Christmas present and head down to the Eats & Beats Christmas Festival. SATURDAY 3

BY THE RIVER – JAZZ AND FOOD TRUCKS | NEWSTEAD HOUSE | 4-8PM
Every month, By the River – Jazz & Food Trucks sets up in one of Brisbane’s best kept secret heritage locations, Newstead House Brisbane, for a day of sunshine, smooth jazz, Newstead Brewing Co. Beers and scrumptious eats from 10 of the best food trucks in town. With twilight river views, this evening outing is perfect as a family Saturday, a way to chill out before the working week, or to recover from the one too many margaritas you had the night before. It all kicks off at 4pm, just in time for those sunset river views.

LONGTIME CHEF SERIES 2016 | FORTITUDE VALLEY | 6.30-10PM | $120
To close it’s popular Chef Series, Longtime is celebrating the return of its head chef with a one-off Thai banquet to delight the senses and challenge your perception of Thai cuisine. Dishes will combine the complex and decadent flavour combinations that Longtime is known for, with the wisdom and deliciousness of Nathan Lastevec’s Thai inspiration. Tickets are $120 pp, including paired wine for every course, and spots are limited!

WEDNESDAY 7

SMALL BATCH CHRISTMAS MARKET | WANDERING COOKS | SOUTH BRISBANE | 5-8PM
Enjoy a relaxing night of strolling under the stars while looking at some unique gifts, with local food makers dishing up plenty of food, booze, and other presents perfect for stocking fillers. You can also grab a customized hampers for that picky relative who complains no matter what you get them. What’s more, finish the night with a delicious dinner and glass of wine.
