5 Reasons we can't get enough of Little Clive

  • Food & Booze

Okay Brisbane, we need you to stop what you’re doing immediately and get on the next bus to Annerley.

There’s no doubt that the Little Clive has always been a south side brunch favourite, but they’re upping the ante with a fresh new menu, some killer new specials and extensive vegan options. Forget about brown paper packages with brown paper string, these are a few of our favourite things.

  1. EGGS ALL DAY ERRRRRRY DAY

There are few occasions more soul crushing than arriving at a café to find the breakfast menu has finished at 11am – even more so when your hungover belly is screaming at you for eggs benny, NOW. Little Clive acknowledges your need for breakfast all day, every day. So, if you want vanilla bean pancakes with honeycomb, whipped chocolate ganache and macerated strawberries at 1pm you can enjoy that sleep in, safe in the knowledge they’ll be waiting there for you.

  1. THEY’RE BARKING MAD

There are few experiences more heart breaking than leaving our faithful companions behind – they don’t call them puppy dog eyes for nothing!  Man’s best friend deserves to be our side at all times and Little Clive agrees with a totally dog-friendly environment – so there’s no need to bow wow out of a fetching time with Fido.

  1. THERE’S NO BEEF WITH VEGANS

Vegan friends, expect more than just limp lettuce and bland tofu from the team. Gone are the days are ordering from the sides menu or receiving sympathetic looks from omnivore brunch companions. For eggsample? Vegan eggs. Not a typo my plant based friends, but a miracle. Keep it simple with vegan poached eggs on sourdough, or go all out with vegan eggs benedict served with cashew hollandaise. You’ll find plenty of other vegan options on the menu – from the mushroom lasagne burger (!!!) to the grilled tempeh salad with Dutch carrots, kale, baby beetroot and pomegranate molasses vinaigrette.

  1. LIKE PANCAKES – BUT WITH ABS

At the risk of waffling on about the new menu – we just can’t get over the monthly waffle specials. Last month’s mango and coconut waffle with coconut foam, chocolate crumble and mango ice-cream had the public going coco-nuts, and we can’t get enough of the choc ganache, honeycomb and strawberry topped waffle! A menu mainstay? The new sticky sesame cauliflower waffles. It’ll make all your dreams come true.

  1. SPIKED SHAKES TO APEROL SPRITZ

From 10am (we don’t judge here – ever) get stuck into homemade ginger ale mojitos, brunch Bloody Marys and fresh OJ mimosa. Want to embrace your inner child AND still feel (somewhat) like a grown up? Order a Banoffee caramel thick shake with banana, almond milk and coconut cream and spike that bad boy! It’s the little café with a big heart, grab your go card and head south!

Keeping the G&G up to date with all the latest tasty tidbits requires a lot of double lattes and espresso martinis, so we occasionally need to give out some sponsored love. But rest assured that we only work with businesses that we think are really nifty, as the sponsor for this post is!
