Brisbane's Autumn Menus
It’s the changing of the seasons, and with it comes a whole new wave of deliciousness in the form of NEW...
We’re all about seasonality when it comes to food, so it’s time to push the same approach onto our bev preferences as well!
Mix things up next time you’re out and about this autumn, and try one of these seasonal cocktail specials from these venues that have us falling in love with the art of shaking, stirring, and building all over again.
Can’t stop, won’t stop. The Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough at Boom Boom Room (the vault bar of flash Chinese joint Donna Chang) mixes Tanqueray’s delicate Flor de Sevilla gin, Ruinart Champagne, rhubarb and blood orange sorbet, honey and edible rhubarb paint! Colour me pink, honey.
Put your (light) jacket on – we’re going for a walk in the garden and autumn is in the air! The floral notes from the Adelaide Hills Distillery rose vermouth, Mandarine Napoleon liqueur, honey, and lavender are almost too easy to down – lucky this fall fave is available in a jug!
Is there anything better than autumn in Japan? Maybe? We haven’t been, but we have tried the Johnny Mo & The Crazy 88 cocktail at mod-Japanese joint Honto! The punchy blend of chardonnay barrel-aged shochu, Knob Creek rye whiskey, charred pineapple, and lime juice is just the right mix of sweet and strong.
You know it for its stunning dining room and chic outdoor wine bar, but did you know ARC also offers a classy and curated cocktail list? The Autumn Sour combines Buffalo Trace bourbon, Aperol, raspberries, rhubarb bitters and lemon for one balanced, boozy babe of a cocktail.
The bourbon is back! The Manhattan Transfer might be a classic, but this time, Buffalo Trace is paired with Amaro Montenegro, vanilla, black walnut bitters and a couple of Luxardo cherries – she’s sweet, layered and moreish (just like us).
Sip back, relax.
