3 margarita recipes for Margarita Day

If there was ever a reason to get your margarita on, it’s Margarita Day. Who cares if it’s on a Wednesday this year? We were on board even before we managed to get our hands on a few bottles of tequila from Casamigos – an uber sexy new tequila brand created by George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Michael Meldman. Want to join us in saying cheers to the boozy day? Try your hand at making one of our fave margarita recipes from Casamigos.
  • 60ml Casamigos Blanco Tequila
  • 30ml fresh lime juice
  • 15ml sugar syrup
  • 2 cucumber slices
  • 1 jalapeño slice
Combine all ingredients into a shaker. Muddle fruit and herbs. Add ice. Shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds. Fine strain into rocks glass. Add fresh ice. Garnish with cucumber and jalapeño slices.
  • 45ml Casamigos Reposado Tequila
  • 25ml fresh lime juice
  • 120ml muddled watermelon
  • 15ml simple syrup
  • 6­-7 mint leaves
Muddle mint and watermelon, add remaining ingredients, shake, fine strain over fresh ice. Garnish with mint sprig and a watermelon chunk.
  • 45ml Casamigos Blanco Tequila
  • 30ml fresh lime juice
  • 15ml strawberry puree
  • 15ml agave syrup
  • 4 sweet basil leaves
  • 2 dashes Peychauds Bitters
  • Soda water
Shake and double strain into a glass. Top with club soda, garnish with a basil sprig and dash of balsamic. Garnish with basil leaf and a thin strawberry slice over top. One margarita, two margarita, three margarita, floor!
