3 cocktail recipes for World Gin Day

World Gin Day on Saturday 11 June and Negroni Week from June 6 to 12 all combining to make one gloriously boozy weekend? Sounds like a recipe for a good time to us (that or an epic hangover come Monday). As if you needed another excuse to put your fancy pants on and get together with your friends to sip on G&Ts and cocktails, we’ve found a couple of gin cocktail recipes to give you a little gin-spiration.

  • 1 part Campari
  • 1 part Cinzano
  • 1 part gin
Fill a short glass with ice, pour in each of the spirits and stir. Garnish with an orange to serve.

Sage Against the Machine

  • 5 parts Beefeater Dry gin
  • 4 parts apple juice
  • 1 part fresh lemon juice
  • ½ part sugar syrup
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 2-3 sage leaves
  • 4 parts soda water
  • Sprig of sage to garnish
Shake all ingredients except for soda and shake hard. Add soda water to a tall glass over ice and strain shaken ingredients into the glass. Top with more soda if required and garnish with sage.

The Fresh Gimlet

  • 2 parts Plymouth Gin Navy
  • 1 part fresh lime juice
  • ½ part sugar
  • Small lime twist
Shake hard with ice and serve straight up or on the rocks. Just don’t blame us when you get a little gin-toxicated. Words by Ranyhyn Akui
