Wednesday 16 Kerbside Country Club | Kerbside | Fortitude Valley Celebrate our country cousins with a gourmet banquet dinner of farmhouse artisanal foods matched with farmhouse brewery beers from some of Australia’s best rural breweries, including Beard & Brau, Bridge Road Brewers and the New England Brewing Company. Kerbside will be dishing up a rustic feast while you bond with fellow beer lovers over scrumptious canapés and an epic banquet of fresh local produce. Thursday 17 Brews & Bacon Valley Bar Hop | Various | Fortitude Valley Tour the Valley bars, taste test delicious brew and learn something new while you’re at it! Brisbane beer blogger, Jason, from Brews & Bacon is hosting an educational but totally fun bar hop where you can taste different styles of beer at a number of venues while he gives you all the background knowledge behind your fave drops. The crawl kicks off at Bloodhound Bar at 3pm, and tickets are only $30 which includes a beer at each venue. The Catchment Catch | Catchment Brewing Co. | West End Throw out your line and reel yourself in a ticket to a night full of seafood, beer, wine and whisky. Catchment Brewing Co. will be creating four delicious courses of fresh seafood followed by dessert, each paired with a beer, wine and whiskey so you can see which drop perfectly compliments each meal. This year, Bloodhound Bar’s gift to you is the return of Hopfields where beer is the name of the game and it’s in everything from the food to the spirits. Ipswich Farmers & Artisan Markets | Ipswich Ipswich is kicking off their first farmers and artisan markets in the Ipswich City Square from 6am to 1pm, with plenty of fresh produce and gourmet food stalls to check out. Sunday 20 Chili Cook Off | Kettle & Tin | Paddington Kettle & Tin is bringing the heat with their fourth annual Chili Cook Off! This year, 10 venues will be competing for the Chili Master title from 10am, with 2015 champions, Anise, back to defend their title against the likes of Super Whatnot, Farrier Bar + Supperclub and Bloodhound Bar. With plenty of craft brews, live music and the chance to vote for this year’s chili master for $10 a head, you (chili con) carne’t miss it! Beerkary’s Big (Mini) Golf Day | Wandering Cooks | South Brisbane The Wandering Cooks car park is going to be transformed into a mini-golf course where you will not only have a fun filled day of putt-putt but you’ll also get to celebrate Brewsvegas, Beerkary style! The day kicks off at 10am with a Beekary Brunch to fuel you up for a day of putting. Contact Regatta to book. Dragon Egg Dessert | Saké | CBD Super opulent dessert alert! Saké Double Bay’s famous Dragon Egg dessert is going to grace Eagle Street for a rare Easter treat. The creation of this egg is a three day process of masterful proportions, culminating in a Valrhona dark chocolate shell filled with toasted chocolate crumble, edible soil and passionfruit yoghurt chips, as well as chocolate mousse, passionfruit curd, and mango caramel. The dessert is then doused in liquid nitrogen at the table, make the shell brittle enough to crack and revealing the decadent delights within.
