You can keep your turtle doves, French hens and golden rings (actually, we’ll take those last ones), we’d much rather have 12 days of everything Treasury Casino has to offer this December! From Yuletide high teas to laneway bars and bubbly celebrations, there’s something to tempt everyone into the colourful city icon this silly season.
Fat Noodle’s 3rd birthday
Luke Nguyen’s Fat Noodle
is turning 3! Oodles of noodles and stacks of steamed buns have made their way onto the plates of hungry diners at the Asian-fusion restaurant over the years, and what better way to celebrate that with even more! From Wednesday 9th
of December, Fat Noodle will be taking to Reddacliff Place between 11am-2pm for a tasty pop-up, serving 2-for-1 bowls of steaming pho for lunch.
DIY G&T at Stephens Lane
Have you found Brisbane’s newest laneway bar yet? If not, here’s some incentive for you: they’re pouring deliciously fun carafes of DIY infused gins! Choose your perfect summer flavour from lemon thyme and juniper or grapefruit, pineapple and sage, add to your glass of Bombay Sapphire and tonic and sip while you enjoy sweet potato fries and tempura vegetables in the hidden laneway.
Festive High Tea
The decadent high tea at The Lab
has gotten a Santa-approved makeover, combining classic scones and cupcakes with rum balls, spicy fruit mince pies and turkey and cranberry sandwiches. Book for two on a Saturday or Sunday in December (early Christmas present for Mum, hint hint) and you’ll even get a complimentary bottle of Chandon.
Sundae special at Kitchen
Every week, the creative sweet lovers at Kitchen
put their heads together to come up with the wildest, most indulgent sundae they can possibly create – think rum balls with rum and raisin ice cream, caramel popcorn or banoffee. Each one is only on the menu for a week though, so you have to get in quick!

‘Tis the season for lunching!
It’s that time of year, when you don’t even make it to Friday without needing a rather large glass of wine to get you through the working day. Skip the sandwich over your keyboard and drag a co-worker to Ryan’s on the Park
instead, where there’s a tempura plate piled with calamari, prawns, scallops and tempura vegetables with your name on it. And an espresso martini or two.
