Thursday 18 Gramercy Pop-up | 46 James Street | Fortitude Valley The gourmet geniuses behind the treats at Gramercy are gracing James Street with a pop-up residency, tantalizing taste buds every Tuesday to Sunday from February 18-April 30, 8am-3pm. With doughnuts, Danishes, jams, preserves and other such baked goods sure to leave you saying ‘(Gra)mercy me!’ you’ll be thanking your lucky stars you gave up that new year’s resolution weeks ago. Friday 19 Taste of Asia | Reddacliff Place | CBD Want to get a taste of Asia this weekend? As a part of BrisAsia Festival 2016, Reddacliff Place will be taken over by scrumptious Asian street food, cooking demonstrations and plenty of entertainment from 11.30am-6.30pm. Come for lunch – stay all afternoon! Sunday 21 Willy Wonka Degustation | Wandering Cooks | South Brisbane If you’ve always wondered what would happen if Willy Wonka branched out from chocolate and hit the kitchen, now’s your chance to find out. Chef Cody McKavanagh, who trained in restaurants like The Fat Duck, will be dishing up an 8 course dinner inspired by the movie, with drinks to match available. Tickets are $110 and you can grab them here. Monday 22 Barrel Aged Sessions | Mr Edward’s Alehouse & Kitchen | CBD If you’re ale about a good brew, Mr Edward’s have got the event for you! Master brewer Ross Kenrick will be sharing some of his rarest barrel aged beers that will help you understand just how he got his title. Those delicious beers will come alongside a four course meal that will completely cure your Mondayitis. Bookings are essential as this is a limited event, so grab your ticket here for $89. Thursday 25 Bucci turns 4 | Bucci | Fortitude Valley Bucci are turning 4 and to celebrate they are launching a new menu! If that’s not exciting enough, the Bucci team will be joined by guest chef Massimo Mele to unveil the new dishes. There will be no shortage of free flowing prosecco and beer to help with the celebrations and the theme of the night is Venetian masquerade, so don’t forget your mask! A Dinner of Oddities and Curiosities | Brewski | Petrie Terrace Eccentric gypsy brewer Mikkeller and Brewski head chef Tim Sharp have put their heads together to create a five course meal with unique paired beers that your taste buds will go brew-zerk over! Places are very limited for this super exclusive event so make sure you grab your tickets sooner rather than later, available here for $99. Whisky Dinner | Malt | CBD If you’re after a whimsical night filled with the finest whisky and many a malt to satisfy your palate, then this event is for you. In honor of the arrival of the Yamazaki Sherry Cask for 2016, the crew at Malt will be hosting a 4-course cellar dinner. So if you love liquor, if you’ve got the nose for some of the world’s finest whiskies, look no further friends. Friday 26 Sake Ice Festival Party | Sake | Eagle Street Pier To celebrate Japan’s famous Sapporo Snow Festival (and to battle the Australian summer heat), Sake will be transforming their riverside deck into a winter wonderland for the coolest (literally) party ever! The pop up bar will be serving up icy cold cocktails, plus there will be a live DJ and delicious complimentary canapés from 5-7pm. Saturday 27 Bites & Brews | Shafston Hotel | East Brisbane Shafston Hotel’s Bites & Brews Craft Beer & Cider Festival is back its second year, taking over the laneways around the hotel with craft brews and ciders and plenty of food trucks. Entry is free and the good times will be kicking off at lunchtime and winding up at 10pm, so there’s plenty of time for you to get yourself to Shafston Hotel to enjoy the Saturday fun. Sunday 28 Social Sundays | Riverbar & Kitchen | CBD With Monday just around the corner, why not enjoy the remainder of your weekend while it lasts at Riverbar’s pop-up wine bar with Peter Rogers from Naked Bunch Wines from 3pm.
