This installment of Dutch Courage’s monthly cocktail masterclass is all about whipping up fiery concoctions, so not only will you learn some awesome tricks to impress your friends at a party but you’ll also have a blast learning how to build the perfectly flammable and tasty drink. Paniyiri | Musgrave Park | West End One of our favourite annual food festivals is finally here so we can once again stuff our faces full of olives, souvlaki and haloumi! Though we’ll just be intent on gorging on loukomades, you may want to go along for the eating competitions, cooking demonstrations and entertainment, not to mention the culture! The event kicks off at 12pm on Saturday and 10am on Sunday and will only set you back $10 for adults with free entry for under 13s. Park Food Trucks | Newstead House Spend your Sunday the way Sundays should be spent – stuffing your face with eats from Brisbane’s tastiest food trucks. Newstead Park will be hosting an afternoon full of delicious food and funky live beats for you to enjoy from 1pm so grab a picnic rug and head down.

Food from the Fire | The Jubilee Hotel | Fortitude Valley Looking to spend your Saturday arvo in a glorious food coma? Join the Jubilee Hotel for the Food from the Fire Festival and get in on some smoky goodness. Running from 11am-8pm, the hotel will host stalls for like Brazilian smoked meats, Argentinian BBQ pits, American smokehouse, Indonesian street food, and New Zealand Hangi (just to name a few!). International music, fire dancers, and entertainment stalls will provide fun for the whole family, while the central bar will host beers, wines and spirits to wash down those flame-grilled goodies.
