Beach, please! Hidden gems in Surfers Paradise
People, it’s time to draw a line in the sand. We know Aussies love the GC, with its golden beaches, churning...
With the warmer weather taking us straight out of our jeans and into our jorts, there’s only one thing to do – and that’s hit up Surfers Paradise.
While we’re less surfer and more boogey-boarder (which is arguably cooler in our opinion), we’re always looking for a place to head after a sea sesh – and we’ve finally found the perfect pit-stop, Knox Dining.
A resident of the Circle on Cavill, Knox Dining serves up all-day breakfast and lunch with a healthy and wholesome menu that’ll keep you feeling fresh all day long. Satisfy your sweet tooth with the croissant French toast loaded with smoked bacon and maple syrup, and you can’t go past the Aburi Ocean Trout Bowl for lunch, which features blow-torched Tasmanian sea trout on a bed of brown rice and quinoa topped with a sous vide egg and caviar.
Just got dumped (by the ocean)? For the ultimate comfort meal, try their smoky BBQ pulled pork Knox Sub accompanied by a delicious house made gravy and fries.
Big things are going on behind the scenes, with Knox looking to extend their trade to include dinner in the near future – cocktails included! Their range Meet the Marys will include the iconic Bloody and Virgin Mary, as well as some new crowd pleasers like the Fairy Mary – a sweeter version of the classic cocktail with watermelon liqueur and vodka.
Can you handle the heat? Thrill-seekers can try their luck with the “Death by Mary” made with habanero chillies, guaranteed to pack some serious punch.
Sea for yourself next time you’re on Cavil Avenue.
