Brisbane’s newest supper club

  • Food & Booze
Since their opening in December 2013, Artie & Mai has wowed suburban diners with their totally unique gourmet dinners. We were among the many who fell for their crispy pork belly, infamous beer and pizza nights and cozy interior. And we’ll be the first to jump on board when they end their dinnertime opening hours on June 1 in favour of a bimonthly supper club and evening functions. Luckily for our appetites we’ll still be able to get our fix weekly (or daily), with the Albion café staying open for daytime feeds, including all day brekky from 7am, seven days a week. So you can still get drool-worthy breakfasts like banana French toast with salted caramel and candied bacon ice cream or a simple but satisfying egg and bacon roll. They’ll also be extending their lunch menu to include a few more dishes – we’ll just cross our fingers in the hopes that our fave dinner items migrate over to become daytime feeds. brisbane supper club artie and maiThen, Head Chef Giacomo Favato will be back at the venue once a month to work his magic in the kitchen (trust us it’s magic – have you tried their desserts?) for evening supper clubs. The first event is happening in late July, with a one-of-a-kind three course dinner so good, you’ll be counting down the days to the next one. The exclusive dinners will happen on a bimonthly basis, with every second feast matched with beers from a local brewer or boutique wines. You’ll also be able to book their industrial-chic space for functions and special events, with a tasty functions menu that can cater to any style of celebration. Trust us when we say you don’t want to miss the first of what will be a delectable event! And if you want to know what we’re going on about, just drop by for dinner this week or head in for brunch anytime. In the meantime, to be the first to know when the events are starting in July, just enter your details into the form below!
Words by Ranyhyn Akui Keeping the G&G up to date with all the latest tasty tidbits requires a lot of double lattes and espresso martinis, so we occasionally need to give out some sponsored love. But rest assured that we only work with businesses that we think are really nifty, as the sponsor for this post is!
